I like skiing, but the season is almost over and I am getting ready for the soccer (football) season. How much does skiing help (if at all) for soccer?

I am going on a ski trip next week. The resort we will be skiing at has a “restaurant” i guess you could call it, but its all hamburgers, pizza, fries, soft drinks, etc.
Since thats not very good nutrition, what are some healthier meals I could bring to substitute the greasy, un-nutritious food at the resort?

Im trying to loose weight and i go skiing twice a week now. I usually go to the gym 3-4 times a week but since the season started i haven’t been going to the gym much. So is skiing just as good? i mean 6-7 hours a day must be some good workout. I do need a second opinion. Can i go to the gym twice and do skiing twice?
