My wife and I are in the Sacramento area in early February and want to drive a couple of hours to go skiing for a day/evening. I’ve been once before, 20 years ago, while my wife has never been. We’re looking for somewhere cheap, but not dirty and crappy, if you know what I mean. Any suggestions? The first two places I’ve found are Boreal and Squaw Valley. Thanks.

Does North Carolina have any age restrictions for Skiing? We are planning a skiing trip to NC this winter break and we have two 18 and two minors. Are there any restricitons that could get in our way?

I have just bought a used pair of K2 Public Enemy skis (year 04/05). They seem to be quite a bit stiffer and heavier than my old Blizzard skis. Also, the skis are 180cm and I am 6 ft tall. Will these skis affect my skiing in any way? If so how will they?

I’m going skiing tomorrow to take a lesson with a friend of mine. Which of the following mountains should I go to? Mount Lord, Massachusetts, Mount Wachusett, Massachusetts, or Mount something. I’ll tell you when I remember. Or a totally different one?
Aunt Doobie I kinda already figured THAT out. They all make fake snow if there isn’t anything good.
The other one is Nashoba Valley. I postponed trip until tomorrow so…

I’ve just agreed to go on my first skiing holiday, to learn cross country skiing in Norway at Christmas. I want to make the most of my time, keep up and not get injured. What can I do now to make life easier?

I am 16 and I have been talking with my friends about going skiing either the end of this season or 08/09 season. My Dad seems to think that you need to be 18 to buy the insurance, does anyone know if this is true?

I am going skiing tomorrow and it is supposed to be 3 degrees, and on top of that windchill. What are some good clothes to wear to stop the wind from getting to me and also to combat the cold in general?

What is the best place out west to go skiing in late May early April this year? I am looking at some places in Colorado, but wasn’t sure if they got enough snow this year.

I have recently gotten into downhill/alpine skiing. I am wondering what equipment should you have to ski comfortably, and also, if you have any, tips for skiing and getting better at it. Any websites with any of this would be helpful as well.
Thanks for your time!
